Takisha Adair, CTR, MBA, Commission on Cancer (CoC)-trained Consultant, is a Project Manager at CHAMPS Oncology, the leader in cancer program compliance. As a Project Manager, Adair joins a team of multi-credentialed CTRs who strategically partner with cancer programs nationwide. Based out of Texas, Adair works with clients across the country to transform quality cancer data into valuable information that can be used to achieve accreditation, strategic planning, and community outreach and cancer care objectives.
Prior to joining CHAMPS Oncology, Adair worked as a traveling consultant, serving clients from coast to coast with cancer registry operations and cancer program compliance. She joins CHAMPS with more than eight years of experience in the healthcare industry. This experience has taught Adair that “when you know better, you do better,” a motto she has adopted in her career and something she always like to emphasize when working with her clients, colleagues and staff.
As a CoC-trained Consultant, she provides guidance and expertise to clients based on their unique needs.
She has experience:
- Assisting cancer program administrators and team members to achieve/maintain compliance with CoC standards
- Performing cancer data quality audits
- Developing analysis and outcome reports
- Managing cancer registry operations and data collection
- Mentoring new professionals in the cancer registry field
She is currently a member of:
Adair received a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Management and Business Ethics from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Administration from Langston University in Langston, Oklahoma. She is also an American Health Information Management Association Certified Coding Associate.
